Hobsons Bay Council have released the following information on ongoing works at The Fearon. Of particular note to the Cricket Club is the Harsley Pavilion building works, and the Williamstown CYMS Scoreboard.
Construction works update
Lacrosse Pavilion building works are complete.
Williamstown CYMS scoreboard – a building permit for the construction of a new scoreboard has been granted. These works will commence onsite from Friday 8 May with completion planned for early June 2020.
Harsley Pavilion building works – works to the Harsley Pavilion are scheduled for completion in late July 2020. This includes the construction of a new storage facility to the west of the building. The extension will include unisex umpire amenities and storage, which will replace the existing two shipping containers currently used by the lacrosse tenants.
Car park upgrade – works to upgrade the existing gravel car park are scheduled to occur following the completion of the Harsley Pavilion works.
Replacement of the public toilets – preliminary designs for a new public toilet facility including the provision of storage for tenant clubs have been completed. Site establishment works will commence in June 2020.
Floodlighting upgrade – preparation works are underway to upgrade the lighting on the eastern side of the reserve. It is anticipated that this upgrade will be completed in September 2020. The existing floodlights will remain operational until upgrade works are complete.
